THE
GEMSTONES OF MOSES
Gemstones are referred to several times in the Bible. 12
‘Sacred Stones’ or ‘Stones of Fire’ were originally guarded
by Lucifer (Ezekiel 28:13) - ‘You were in Eden, The garden of God; every
precious stone adorned you..’ but taken back on his downfall.
In
Exodus, God spoke to Moses and was told to set these named gemstones in the
breastplate of his brother Aaron, the high priest. The stones were to be set in
4 rows of 3. (Exodus 28:15-30).
The
Biblical names for the stones in Exodus are not the same as current but recent
research has identified the stones which include Diamond, Ruby, Sapphire
etc.
